Ilkka Taipale
Finnish physician, political and public figure, ambassador to the World
Doctor of Medical Sciences, specialist in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

The ambassador of peace in the framework of international initiatives "Doctors for Social Responsibility" and "Doctors of the World for the Prevention of Nuclear War" - the Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
Professor in the field of social psychiatry, an activist of a number of NGOs who deal with social rehabilitation and protection of the rights of the poor, unemployed and homeless people, prisoners, mentally ill and people with different forms of dependence.

A participant in the dissident movement of the 1960s, which was leaked into a student union of the University of Helsinki. Ilkka Taipale - one of those who were convicted of incitement to conscience, received a year and three months of imprisonment conditionally.

Taipale is a convinced Social Democrat, twice elected as a Member of the Parliament of Finland: 1971-1975 and 2000-2007. Participant in international initiatives "Doctors for Social Responsibility" and "Doctors of the World for the Prevention of Nuclear War" - Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
